Even the best straight razors do become dull with use. Typically a razor requires re-sharpening from one to three times per year depending on use and beard type. The New York Shaving Company offers honing and sharpening service for New and Used straight razors regardless of brand, size, age, when, or where purchased. We are proud to provide the sharpest shaving edge possible on virtually any razor.
We sharpen straight razors using the same time-honored and proven Hand-Honing, Lapping and Stropping Techniques employed by Professional Barbers for over 400 years. Only by shaving with a properly sharpened razor can one appreciate the optimal quality, comfort, and closeness of a straight razor shave.
If you cant drop it off at the shop, you can mail your razors to us. Please include your Customer Service information and a check or money order.
